Mandy’s Monthly!- August

Well, I apologize for the delay in the monthly column. Maybe I should call it Mandy’s Month and a half! ? Anyway, the build up to Nationals was crazy getting the new Nationals car ready and everything organized for the week. We have picked up 3 wins since we last talked: Wilmot Speedway, The Front Row Challenge, and the WOO race in Fargo, ND. The crew guys we have now are great! It is so nice for Daryn and Glenno to not have to worry about the car or the tires. Eric and Dave aka Spider are great team players and we hope they enjoy it here with us as much as we enjoy having them apart of our team. THANKS GUYS!

Well, I hope everyone enjoyed the Nationals paint scheme. It seemed to be a big hit in Knoxville. We are also going to run the blue car at Chico for the Gold Cup! The car stood out on the track and looks great in photos! I will put more diecasts and crew shirts on sale online when we return home in September. It is hard to do the easiest things on the road…find a post office in the motorhome!

Daryn & I both would like to send a shout out to Jeff Shepard to Get Well Soon! It was a very nasty crash. We went to see Jeff on Sunday after the Nationals at the hospital and we are now glad to hear he is making amazing progress. GET WELL SOON!

After Nationals everyone is exhausted and it would be nice to have the week off , but instead we had to be in Fargo, ND Tuesday and then played the criss cross game again with traveling to WY, ND, MT and then to Canada. Today, we are in the Wal Mart parking lot in Mount Vernon , WA near Skagit for tomorrow’s race. We visit Wal Marts all over the country…they allow Rv’s to park overnight.

After the Edmonton, Canada race team owner Reeve & Carole Kruck took the team to Banff, Canada for a few days for a mini vacation. It was absolutely beautiful! We took a gondola ride to the top of the mountain and the scenery was breath taking with the river, snow capped mountains, and “The Castle” that we stayed in. The boys (Daryn, Eric, & Spider) decided that they would walk down the mountain as the rest of us rode the gondola back down. Needless to say, an hour and a half later they arrived back at the hotel very tired and wore out! Team Titan’s exercise program short lived!?

Tomorrow is Daryn’s 30th Birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
