Mandy’s Monthly!- September

Well, we are back home for just a few days before we head to Minnesota.  Since the last entry we have driven across the country from CA back to the Midwest and watched it rain a lot more!

After driving about 26 hours to get to Spencer, IA from Chico, CA we did enjoy the fair food at the track.  It was nice to have a big selection at the dirt track for once…pure fair food!   We made a small stop on the way from CA to IA  to watch the Colts game on tv in Reno, NV but other than that we were pretty much driving all day and night.

We finally got home after a month and a half trip on Monday night after Wheatland, MO.  Lucas Motor Speedway in MO is a beautiful facility…definitely one of the best I have ever seen.  It was all paved, had a restaurant with a view of the track, 2  nice grandstands, a car wash, and even a Bose sound system.  If you get the chance you should add it to your schedule next year.   

After arriving home we were busy …busy.  Can you imagine a month and a half of personal and business bills and back up?  We said good bye to the blue car as it was loaded into the container to ship to Australia.  We will race it on the WSS Speedweek shows …at least as of today that is the plan. 
Our last $50,000 to win race was cancelled this past weekend due to the tropical storm on the east coast so we brushed up on our bowling skills, went to a movie, and of course ate well! 

It is hard to believe that 1/3rd of the WOO schedule has been rained out!  If you take into consideration the total in tow money and prize money lost it is a lot!   

The season is winding down as we only have 8 more races left, and football season is in full swing.
